I also agree with Albert Einstein who said, "The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits."

Expanding nuclear power to combat global warming is the worst idea ever. Let's poison our planet more so it won't get warmer -- hurray! (And how ironic that the proposed site of the new plant is the "Peace River" area).

One thousand tons of uranium fuel typically generates 100,000 tons of tailings and 3.5 million liters of liquid waste. The high-level waste remains dangerously radioactive for 240,000 years or more. Since the world’s pro-nuclear leadership is so concerned about the welfare of our planet and believes that nuclear power is completely safe, I propose we put all of the existing and new radioactive waste in their back yards so they can keep a close eye on it for us. I’m sure the Native Americans won’t mind if we remove it from their reservations.

Thanks to you and Gord for caring, Theresa.DChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16638079335012155807noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2018539519561702876.post-13202554537858415122008-01-05T18:00:00.000-07:002008-01-05T18:00:00.000-07:00Ok, I've fixed it!
